The four notepad formats solve different problems, and picking the wrong one is a common, avoidable mistake. A glue-bound pad is the cheapest and simplest option, but the pages can shift, and the pad does not open flat, which matters in a meeting where someone is writing while holding the pad. A spiral notebook solves that, it opens flat and folds back on itself, at a higher cost, which is why it suits meetings and training rather than a quick giveaway. A perforated pad is built around one specific need: pages that tear away cleanly and completely, which a glue-bound pad cannot do as neatly. A note cube is not a notepad in the traditional sense, it is a branding object that happens to hold loose paper, chosen for visibility on a desk rather than for how it is written in.

Which Format Suits Which Use

Cover and Paper Specifications

Cover weight and finish are the main difference between the four formats: glue-bound covers use 170gsm or heavier smooth paper, while spiral and perforated covers use a heavier 350gsm card with matt lamination, giving those two formats a more substantial, durable cover suited to repeated handling over the pad’s life. Inner pages are consistent across glue-bound, spiral, and perforated formats: 80, 100, or 120gsm uncoated, wood-free paper, with 50 sheets recommended per pad as standard, though more can be requested. Note cubes use a lighter 80gsm paper throughout, since the cube format does not need a separate cover.
